Today is the first day of class. The title of today's session is "Course and Syllabus Overview; Introduction to Organizational Behavior."
I start each class by sharing the agenda. Here's what's on the agenda for today:
- Today’s organizing questions. These serve to prompt the students to think about what I hope they'll take away from the session. There are three for today's class: 1) What’s this course about? 2) Why is it important? 3) What are the requirements? 4) What is organizational behavior? 5) How can we see it in action?
- Set stage for my students' educational experience. As my students are new to the Naval Postgraduate School, I'll discuss how their experience here will differ from their undergraduate educational experience.
- Review course requirements.
- Review organization behavior core concepts.
- Discuss Ancol Corp. case study.
- Review items due next class (7/10/25).
I'll discuss how today's classes went in my next blog post.
